The Jennifer Leigh Kynkor Foundation

Is proud to support a wide range of charitable organizations and events that take place throughout the calendar year. Our primary mission "financially" is to support the Greater Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky Autism Community, and Autism Speaks nationally. The regional community is comprised of several organizations, including those listed below and others. We provide fundraising opportunities for organizations who choose to collaborate on projects we organize and conduct. Funds are dispersed to organizations based upon the quantitative and qualitative support these organizations provide on each individual project. Organizations are asked to provide support in the following areas: 1) Marketing and promotion, 2) Volunteer staffing, 3) Corporate sponsorship, 4) Acquisition of gifts & door prizes and 5) Event participants. We ask these organizations, as a group, to support events on a 50:50 ratio. This means that the JLKF provides a minimum of 50% of the work, and in some cases, much more. Consider the fact that our organization does most of the work, and the remainder is spread among several organizations. This gives YOU the benefit of our contacts, sponsors, participants, celebrities & more.

Organizations interested in working with us are encouraged to consider the opportunities we provide for you to meet some or all of your group's financial needs. If your group is interested in joining the JLKF on future fundraising projects, we urge you to contact us. We can be a tremendous asset, and all you have to do is provide a measure of support in the areas listed above. This is a rare chance for your group to increase awareness for the cause of autism, your own organization and to give you much needed financial benefits.

Autism Speaks
At Autism Speaks (AS), the goal is to change the future for all who struggle with ASDs. They are dedicated to funding global biomedical research in the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raise public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. Autism Speaks is committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals. AS aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. In February, 2007 Autism Speaks merged with Cure Autism Now (CAN) to form an even larger voice and community to support autism & ASD.

The Point / ARC
The Point "fills the gap" for individuals with I/DD and their families, offering residential, vocational, social and educational opportunities unavailable through other area agencies. They offer participants the opportunity to socialize, to develop new interests through educational and vocational experiences, and to learn the independent living skills necessary to become productive, contributing members of the community. Open 7 days a week, The Point offers continuous support through periods of both crisis and relative stability. Last year, The Point offered vocational training/education for 136 adults with I/DD. The Activities Program provided 7,439 hours of service to the I/DD community. The Point's Educational Outreach program served over 8,000 children, ages 5 to 13 through its Everybody Counts Awareness program; and in 2009 the Advocacy Program provided services to the families of 262 children, ages 3 to 21. The Residential program currently serves 27 residents, and is preparing to open 2 more homes in 2011, providing 10 new residents a life-long home.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center(CCHMC)has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best children's hospitals in America. We are extremely fortunate to have world class health care & research right here, and now with 2 facilities since the opening of the new site in West Chester/Mason. Autism/Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are the JLKF's main interest, specifically through the efforts of Dr. Patty Manning-Courtney, physicians & staff at the Kelly O'Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, located within CCHMC. This collaborative effort between parents and professionals offers diagnostic treatment and support for children and families dealing with Autism/ASD. We encourage your support...this is a vital component in the treatment of Autism/ASD & clinical research into causes and treatments of developmental disorders.
